final fantasy 9

i'm using ePSXe to play ff9. it's the 4 isos pal version, and on the first disk where u step aboard an airship for the first time there seems to be a problem. the game freezes at the cinematic cut scene when the ship takes flight. any way around things like this? does anyone hv saved files after this part?

This is a known problem with ePSXe v1.6.0 , try 1.5.2 instead from the official site
