Colin McRae Rally 02 problem

Hi there !
I tried running Colin McRae Rally 02 on ePSXe.I don't know why but the game loads fine play the video,when it gets in the menu/options every 6-7 seconds it freezes and I really don't know why.
I thought it might be a sound plugin problem,I tried about three plugins,enabled some "special" features but still the menu freezes and it makes me go insane.
The gameplay (once the stage is loaded) is perfect,good graphics and all,but the menu is my problem,I cannot make any modifications in settings,like buttons,car select or else,it's annoying to have it freeze all the time.What might be the problem ? I also have 5 video plugins but I don't think video plugins are the problem.
All my games that I tried run perfectly on this emu,except this one.
What got me jumping to the conclusion of the audio plugin problem was that one of the plugins didn't have any sound when the intro FMV played.

Please help me...
Do I have to uncheck something in the audio configuration ?

EDIT: I've tried PSXeven but the problem is the same.PCSX...it didn't even try to work
