1964 N64 emulator prooblem

Whenever i load a N64 ROM it asks to insert a controller and try again. How do i bypass this little issue of mine? Thank you.

Did you try to configure the input? "Plug-ins" -> "System default input plugin" -> select anyone: nrage, jabo's or darkman prefered. Now go back to menu "Plug-ins" -> "Input Settings": Depending o the plugin, make sure you select an input type (gamepad, keyboard...)
