Goldeneye Control Problems

Hello I have 1964's latest Emulator.
I want to play Goldeneye but can't work out how to get the best controls using my laptop's mouse and keypad.
I am running a Pentium 4 Dell Inspiron 5150. The game is running perfectly but when I set the controls e.g. Up for forward
Bond keeps running forward and all over the place like he's drunk even when I release the key.

Any help and suggestions on optimum controls. I would prefer to use mouse for direction and up down for forward back.
Otherwise up down left right and other buttons is fine.
