Visualboy Advance AVI recording

Hi,

I have few questions for the avi recording for VBA. I recorded a AVI of me fighting Lich in FF1 and when it's done the size was like 675,000 and I was like holy crud. Is there a possiblity to reduce the size? Is there a program that u can resize it? When I before record it it also shows many video compression. What is the best one to use?

DivX or Xvid. I personally use DivX to make my recordings, but it's not a free codec.
