Default Super Mario Bros. 3 and Duck Hunt questions

Need some questions answered about Super Mario 3 for NES. I'm using RockNesX and it's a pretty good even though it is old. When I play Super Mario 3 the right side of the screen has a weird coloration as Mario is running. Does this happen on the other NES Emulators? It's like the game isn't running correctly or something. Just wanted to see what you guys are running as far as NES emulators? Also, I tried the EMU that supports the light gun in Duck Hunt but can't get it to work. What is the absolute best NES EMU?
    Thanks,
    Keith

Try FCEUltra and I think that weird coloration you say is absolutely normal.

I've yet to find an emulator that doesn't do that thing on the right screen border.. Wonder why it is, I don't recall it being a problem with other consoles..

If you ouput to a TV directly, I think it may clear up though.. But its been a while so I can't be sure.

Yeah I know. That weird coloration on Super Mario 3 drives me nuts. It does it with Nestopia as well. It doesn't do it on SM2 and SM 3 though. I know that it did not do that on the home system. Anybody else have the same problem or even know what I'm talking about?

Yep that's it. It's a weird coloration error that affects the blocks and stuff on the screen. It's constant, epecially when Mario is running fast to the right. Does every NES Emulator do this or is this just a crappy rom?

It's normal. It does it even on my real NES console.
