Thread: Xbox 360 power question

  1. #1

    Default Xbox 360 power question

Hey gang! I just read that the 360 has three separate core processors, each running at 3.2 GHz.
Does this mean that it has a total of 9.6 GHz processor speed?
    or
that it will reach and maintain 3.2 easier?

I'm asking because I'm weighing out the price of a 360 or outfitting a new computer rig.
I know there are many tech type people here, hope someone can help.
    Thankx!

each core handles a different purpose i believe, so you can't measure individual performance of the cores.

you can't compare 360 performance to PC performance anyhow. if you like the games on 360 more, get it, if you like PC games more, upgrade your rig.

if you want to upgrade your rig though it will cost alot more to get alot less than the 360 will offer. i would say cost wise the 360 is more effiicent however if you want emulation you need a pc. or a revolution which would also be cost effective but you will have to wait over a year for it. whichever choice suits you best i guess
