Default San Francisco Rush - Mame32k

Does anyone know how to get games like San Francisco Rush and California Speed working in Mame32k? I can't get past the screen that says "Steering wheel not responding press abort to continue." I have the CHD so that's not the problem.

Also, are these games even playable at this point? I haven't actually been able to take a look at the games yet since I can't get past this screen.

You need to go into the MAME controller configuration in-mame when its running. (TAB I think) Getting wheels and other analogs setup can be a bitch of a process on its own.

But in general these games do not run well in the first place, so its really not worth it.

I imagine it'll be another 5 or 10 years before we see decent and reliable emulation of 3D arcade titles

if you do get it working and have atleast a 2 gig system.
when using mame, pressing the ~ key brings up a menu at the bottom of your screen with various options to it, the most commonly used of which is the main volume setting which can be lowered from 0dB by pressing the 'left' arrow key to back the value down to whatever value you choose. by toggling the 'up' arrow key, you can sift through the other options of the ~ menu, one of which is called 'overclock cpu0'. by pressing the 'left' arrow key & backing the default value of 100% down to about 40% or so with the cheats enabled, i notice a significant speed-up when playing 'cruisin' world'

this was talked about on the www.mame.net a ways back. But like Neco said, we may not see many 3d games working in mame as it has no support for them. Emu's like Zinc are the only hope for now.
