When I turn it on it get's to the widows screen, the monitor gose blue (with some text that moves too fast to read) and then my computer restarts... It dose this exactly 3 times before I can actually log on... It's not a huge problem but it's pretty dam annoying...

I'd try to update your antivirus software, and also make a system restore if helps.

Norton AV it's nice but it uses so many resources from the PC. Some friends recomend me NOD32 because looks to have much lower system requeriments, but I didn't test it though. About Spyware, Ad-Aware works very good, appart using Firefox helps a lot.

Antivirus isn't the answer to everything.

cloud, were you messing with Partition Magic at all? Some operations cause a blue screen with text to appear on startup. It may be that the operations were completed after thatm which is why the problem disappeared.

System restore feature should be very helpful too. Just be careful about which drives drives/partitions are supervised: The system partition/hd it's the only one needed in most cases.

You don't solve every problem with system restore or antivirus or reinstalling Windows.

what other kind of computer problems are there then that does not require any of those options?
