why it wont play?
cuz my windows media player dont play avi for some reason so use
Media Player Classic that works for me

did you convert a file to an avi format or from an avi format to something?

If you install a codec pack like K-lite, ffdshow, etc you might play every video format with most players DirectShow compatible
