does ps1 emulators run ps1 CD's

i want to know if ps1 emulator can run the cd
and do i just download the emulator and put in my CD or is a little bit complicated

of course it does, just configure emulator to read from the cd-rom drive (it might be already done by default)
then just pop in your PS1 cd then go to FILE-->RUN CDROM
