internet probs

i reinstalled windows on the laptop and reinstalled the wireless internet adaptor and i went into set up wireless internet connection on the home computer and it asked for a floppy and wrote files to it and then i installed them on laptop then laptop said it was connected to internet...
at a speed of 11.0mbps and conection is at Excellent
but when i open IE it says detecting proxy and then page goes to Page cannot be displayed and also msn messenger dont sign in
i dunno what to do... can anyone help me or have any idea of what i should do?

i was looking around how to fix this and i saw that Activity it says 124 bytes are Sent and 0 are recived i dunno if that matters tho...

nvm im jus gunna buy adaptor so its not wireless
