Default Project64 <- help me on it

My PC has the hardware settings like this:
    -Intel Celeron 530Mhz
    -128MB RAM
-VGA and Sound onboard (32MB, Direct3D supports)
    -Samsung CD-RW 52x
    -Windows XP SP2, Direct9x

With that settings, my PC runs N64 games by Project64 very slow, i don't know why? Can you help me?

in my opinion, N64 and PS1 have the same hardware settings so if the PC runs PS1 well, it will run well with N64. I read in the manual of Apollo, it asks for 1GHz CPU (very high), so there's no way to run N64 games with my PC (
PS1 and N64, which is better?

No, N64 emulators requires faster hardware than PSX, I'd say almost the double CPU power talking about minimum specs. PSX cpu runs at 33Mhz and N64 at 93Mhz, so it's easy to figure out it needs a faster machine. Your CPU it's enough for PSX emulation but N64 emus like Project64 would work very slow.
