I downloaded the ZSNES and a Chrono Trigger ROM and Ive never used an emu before. How do I load my rom?

place the rom somewhere that easy for you to remember where it is
run the emulator then go to GAME---> LOAD-->you will see a list of folders(directories) on the right side of the screen. find your rom from there and hit the load button

you have to remember the path that you keep your games

if you keep your games in
    c:\emulators\roms
then follow that path to find your games

Im not computer savvy at all. The rom is on Winzip on my desktop right now. So what do I do just scroll the list of folders? The ROM is listed to the left of the directories . I thought I could just click on it there.

    unzip it
sometimes when you download games from cirtin sites it contains a text file
If it has text file delete it, its useless. Then try to play the game.
    that happens to me sometimes
It also might be a bad copy

the zip file is encrypted. meaning it has a password.
sometimes I get roms like that. I use a password recovery program to crack the password. But since you say your not "computer savvy" just try this password
    to unzip it

    3mu

if thats the right password then it will unzip and you will be able to play it with no problems. If you want to zip it back up you could, just dont put a password

the_ghost, even that zip is possibly been password protected, you wouldn't know that kind of password is that unless you know where that file is came from.
