    Default Star Ocean Sound Problem

Ive played Star Ocean like 6 months ago, and i decided that i wanted to play again. Now, i got the rom, graphics pack, ips, and then, for my surprise, the voices were all like this:
    -Capt-Captains log, stardate 34-4-46

    and then....

-Would you like some co(beeep)fee captain?

its like that the sound, just the voices, not the background music

well, ive tried to download the same rom from another site and happened the same. tried to play it on snes9x 1.42 and 1.41 and on zsnes 1.42

i dont think its the sound card, because it never did anything like this before. its the same computer that played Star Ocean before...

    can anyone help meh?

Actually you don't need the GFX packs, Zsnes & Snes9x might decrypt it on the fly.
Try increasing the sound buffer size on Snes9x, and /or change the sound frequency.
