    Default Xbox FTP

    i keep trying to send stuff to my xbox with FTP, i usally use FileZilla Or Internet Explorer to send stuff on my xbox but with internet explorer when i start to transfer files it keeps asking for a password and i put it in and it ask agian and agian so i jus use filezilla and filezilla keeps failing

    firstly i would check the filename, make sure it isnt too long or has any "illegal" characters in it. i would rename each file to "Futurama Season 2 Episode X" or something similar. failing that, i would recommend using a proper FTP proggy, Ultra FXP and Flash FXP are my preferred choices

    i have file names longer than the ones im trying to put on the xbox and also none of the stuff im putting on is illegal i think at least.....
    and FlashFXP or whatever u say i tryed in the past it never would connect....

    i ment "illegal" in the sense of not allowed- ie the following characters " ' * $#@!?>< and things like that. i still recommend trying another FTP program, and i assume you use "192.168.1.xx" as the IP, and "xbox" "xbox" as the username/password??

    how much space is left in the xbox?

    ok then i dont think there is illegal characters in the file name
    and i know i have at least 150 gigabytes of space left im not to sure i cant check at the moment
    i guess i will try the ftp program u recomended and i post back here if it works or not

    have you tried uploading the files individually into a directory rather then the whole folder?

    yes with the FTP u reccomended and filezilla

    that is the most unusual thing i have ever heard of.... perhaps unchecking the file so its no read-only or archive etc...

    hmm... i jus tryed it and it didnt do nothing
    this is wierd the FTP was working and now it jus does upload failed all the time now
