Problem with Chrono Trigger ROM version

hi, I'm up to the part in 2030AD where you have to get food in the basement and you have to input a password (L+R+A) given by the rat. The game doesn't recognize that I entered the combination even though
I've entered the right keys.

Does anyone have the same problem? Please help!! Thx a million!!

ehh!! I'm on the same spot but I don't even know what the keys are for L and R. what keys are they?

you have to set the L and R keys in the config

I remember I put the keys pressing and holding the L, R and A buttons at the same time, but due to the keyboard limitations, you can't press 3 keys at the same time. It bothered me a lot that I had to look for a way to solve this. I did the following: Try to assign the A, B, X, Y, L and R buttons at this spot of the keyboard:

The real thing is that you must press and hold the L, R and A buttons.
