p64 multiplayer

so i was trying to get a game of mario kart set up w/ my friend. i programmed the keyboard to work for "controller 2". i had my controller plugged in and ready to go however he could move or use his "controller" i went in and clicked the activate controller box but it still didnt do anything. do you have to have a special plugin to do this with?

which plugin are you using? I had a time ago a problem identical to yours and i changed the settings of Nrage DirectInput and it was solved.

for the controller and graphics im just using the default plugins that came with it (petes i think)

I will try what Gigashock said, N-Rage input plugins work nice for me. If not, you might have more luck with the standard one's.

I think thre're no Pete's plugins for N64, only for PSX & Zinc btw

..hmm im pretty sure thats what it was. ill check though and see if im wrong i was wondering mostly though if the ability to have split screen existed or not.

Yup, the split screen it's shown like the original N64 on TV.

so it automaticly splits the screen? thats cool. ill try downloading some plugins and seeing if they work. nrage isnt compatible with my gamepad.

try getting new drivers for your gamepad. Maybe you should try Def's N64 Direct Input.

thanx for the help guys. my controller works great and im buying another controller this week that has its own drivers
