Project64 ,need advice tweaking for performance?

2.40 ghz , celeron processor ,ividia g-force 5200 light
Am I wasting my time with 64 Emulation.
I've been playing with the sound off
Mario64 plays fine but bomberman64 slows down when alot is happening, Killer instinct won't play at all
PCSX plays good (tekken 2 little choppy)
visual boy advance runs great
nes and snes both run great
need advice on tweaking the Emu or computer or both

Some of the N64 games has issues with performance. It's not your computer's fault.
