vbagx on Wii: games are in green/black although monochrome set up when starting

Hi there,

I'm using vbagx v.2.3.6 and it work's great so far.
The problem I'm having is: Everytime I restart vbagx, the games are in green and black until i open and close the settings (without changing a thing).
Monochrome is already selected there. When I close the settings, the games play fine in monochrome until I close vbagx and restart it.
My sd card is set to writable.

Has anyone got a clue what I am doing wrong?
