Rayman 1 on ePSXe runs way too fast, even with FPS limit on

I'm at a point where I have no clue what to do about this.

The intro cinematic runs at normal speed, but whenever I get into the menus, or the game shows a demo, the game goes to 8x speed. I've been looking around the site looking for answers, and everyone gives the same solution; turn on FPS limit, which I have done, and it still doesn't work. I'm quite desperate for a solution, as I really love this game.

I use Pete's OpenGL2 GPU core 2.0.0.

for me is simple set up higher video settings it will slow down :fliltering etc...
if dont work change plugin

I tried using multiple plugins and increasing some of the video settings, unfortunately, the poblem is still there :/

so problem is your emulator or rom change emulator and rom
many E and U roms have other speed

I tested different kinds of ROMs with multiple emulators now, and the problem still persists :/

so maybe is your os or pc (overclocked)
did you test on other os ?
if problem will still occur i cant help
