Sorry for the dumb question, I'm still learning
Which one of these it better for emulation.

Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor 519K (1M Cache, 3.06 GHz, 533 MHz FSB)

Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E7300 (3M Cache, 2.66 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB)

The Core™2 Duo , but not for much...Maybe Game cube games will play well but no good for ps2 or above.

Ok thanks, I was just wandering. I saw that the single core had a higher GHz than the dual and from what I understand emulation only uses one core so I wasn't sure.

The emulators that only use one core will not preform any better for .4 Ghz gain. the core process has much a better instruction set then the pent. plus has a 3M Cache and a much faster FSB... You can put a 8 cylinder in a Honda but without a tuned ECU and larger fuel injectors it's not going to be much faster.

Most all new emulators use dual core. Its a win win..

I ended up upgrading the E7300 to a E8500 and it plays ps2 fairly well. It's a little slow and the sound is not the best but its good enough for me.
