Default New to NES emulation, problem connecting Xbox One controller

Hi, everyone. Thanks for taking a minute to read my post. I've had the itch to play old NES, SNES, and N64 games lately, and decided it would make more sense to get into the emulation game than scramble for the elusive NES classic edition. However, I'm having problems getting some of major Nintendo emulators to recognize my Xbox One controller. I plugged it in via a USB cord to my laptop (Windows 10), installed the most recent Microsoft driver, and it seems to be working on my Steam games. However, when I go to configure the buttons on FCEUX and Project64, the emulators don't appear to recognize that I'm hitting any buttons. I've searched the forum but have not been able to come up with the answer. Any help that you could provide would be greatly appreciated!

joy2key as ulaoulao write if its not detected and pad calibration in nestopia 1.47 UE otherway in nestopia.xml file you have all pad settings clear all pads then open this xml with notepad++ write there your pad sequence
but it should detect pad anyway im not use fceux i have many isues with fceux with version 2.23 my my pad setings dont work (yes on keybord)
im most recomend nestopia and new emulator punes (new emulator with more mappers) also good choice will be fceu mm but you will cant run in fullscreen and few graphic bugs in games few games in fceu mm will not work
    im recomend punes and nestopia
for play fds rom rename nintedo bios.bin to disksys.rom
you can also use virtuanes but its have little features and pirates also few games will not work
im not recomend nester and rocknes because its junk
    http://forums.nesdev.com/viewtopic.php?t=6928
mynes suck and yoshines too also nnnesterj those i will not recomend to anyone
    nesticle is too old

yeah that's xinput not going to work that way. Get a real usb device like the many on the market . You can even get the oem snes nes adapters. Or one device to do it all like bliss-box.net If you want to use that controller get the program to convert xinput to hid for you like mentioned above.
Original, the only way to play.
