Default Daemon Tools needed or not?

    Hello everyone,

I've just downloaded and configured the epsxe emulator and with a few changes I have got this up and running, well apart from slight lag every now and then. However, before I downloaded the emulator I asked a friend of mine how he set his up, he said that you need Daemon Tools to mount the image and play it through epsxe. But I'm playing it perfectly fine just running the ISO on the emulator itself. So I ask, why is Daemon Tools needed because I haven't seemed to find an answer through Google searches.

Sorry if I appear to be a bit dumb, I'm just a bit confused that's all.

I don't see why not, It's probably just better to run the img or iso through the emulator itself instead of the hassle of mounting the cd image and running it through a virtual drive. I never tried it so I would not know how good the plugin can read a virtual drive in terms of speed compared directly through the emulator.
