Default Running Gens with broadcasting software.

I am trying to stream a game series on Twitch using Gens, but I'm having trouble getting the broadcasting software to work with it. I've been using Xsplit Gamescaster and it should be simple enough to do, but for some reason I can't get it working.

Does anyone have any experience of trying something similar and can help me out a bit? Thanks.

Hello there, what exactly is the problem? Are you trying to record window footage and it turns up black? Have you tried using OBS?

It's been a very very long time since I used xsplit, but I think it only supports Directx10 + applications / games.

You can use open broadcaster and capture the window or monitor, but don't use capture game. because that also requires Directx10+ and I am pretty sure most emulators render with OpenGL or old ver's of DX.
