If you are having problems in all emulators then it's ps4 driver specific. Most people that use the ps4 are using the latest Xbox 360 controller drivers. If that is true in your case, there is the problem.

the Xbox 360 controller drivers use Xinput and just about every emulator uses Dinput. I'm sure there is a fix but its going to take a lot of searching and testing. In general to save you a lot of time, dont use Xinput drivers (i.e. Ps4,Ps3,Xbox,Xbox 360 controllers...) Use something easy, like normal usb adapters. A ps2 adapter can be had for $3 on ebay. If your going to get in to emulation its a wise buy, some people take it a step further and get a universal adapter like this. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...-controllers-0

That may be a bit too much for you, not sure?

Oh sorry, just saw this was ePSXe specific. This is a known bug with Xinput.

Again, I strongly suggest to get a better controller for emulation. Though if you are like so many others and have to have that controller working, have fun reading.

Its not the PS4 controller. I play Nintendo 64 games using the Project 64 emulator and the rumble works! How do i get it to work with the emulator for PS1?

No I meant "This is a known bug with Xinput. and ePSXe. If you read that thread you would notice its a problem that is already know about. You can try other emulators but from what I read, the xinput device will not work on many psx emulators.

If you Google search, directinput force feedback, it should return a link to the steam thread, Guide :: Enable force feedback rumble for Xbox360 Controller.

Installing the driver from the link in that thread should fix your issue.

I would also recommend installing the, InputMapper, software if you haven't as it lets you configure alot of settings on the DS4 controller.

Rumble works perfectly with games on my DS4 controller after installing it. I'm running win 8.1 x64 and epsxe 1.9.0. Just be sure to select DualShock as the controller type.
