I'm using a BSNES Emulator to play Crono Trigger. I am at the part where I need to enter the password after catching the rat. It says I have to hold down L&R and press A. This doesn't work. I'm assuming the emulator can't recognize simultaneous button presses. Is there any way I can assign L&R to the same key? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Do you mean shoulder L and R? Cause left and right are impossible on the controller. No BSNES will not let you configure two buttons at once but yes you can press both at once and the game will recognize that. You could find this free home brew test app to prove it.

Are you using a keyboard or controller?

Yes, sorry, I forgot to specify shoulder L and R. I'm using a keyboard as well.

Most Keyboards are limited to two keys, that is why. Unless they are modifies I believe like ctrl or alt. Try setting LS to ctrl and RS to shift, pass that point and set back. No promises but it is worth a try. Some fancy keyboards will allow it. - Really though get a controller or better yet an adapter for a SNES controller.

Keyboard test: Open up notepad, press "qw" at the same time and let go, you should get "qw", if you pres "qwe" you will get nothing. Mind you, this has to be done right... If not hit all at the same time it will show all 3 keys. Takes some practice.
