Default Spinning/rotating cameras with gamepad use on PC

I use a controller for a bunch of my PC games like driving games or platformers, as well as for emulation. Recently, the camera started auto-rotating left as if though I'm constantly keeping the left d-pad turned towards that angle. It happens in all games as far as I can tell. Googling the issue brings up a lot of threads about users having problems with specific games, but my issue seems to be general. Any tech-savvy 'dexers who know this issue?

I'm using DS3 tool and the controller works fine on my room mate's console. It's only when hooked up to my PC that this happens.

    Anyone got a clue?

Normally that means the controller lots its calibration or now hangs to the left a bit. You can try calibrating in windows but the only way to fix the off center hang is to set up dead zones for each game(not ideal I know).
Original, the only way to play.

I tried recalibrating it but it didn't work. Not sure I did it right.

I can't set up dead zones for the games I'm currently playing I think. They're not being played using an emulator.

    Am I really just fucked?
