The most popular around here is VisualBoyAdvance.
In my case I have the VBA 1.8.0 (non-beta with LCD filter)
Well this is a gameboy game

VisualBoyAdvance can run:
- Gameboy.
- Gameboy Color.
- Gameboy Advance.
No matter what kind of Gameboy game Harvest Moon is, VisualBoyAdvance will run it.
Visuboy advance is the way to go.

Firstly, I don't know if the save archive you downloaded is incompatible with any emulators. (I'm pretty sure it failed on mine)
Harvest Moon also released in GBA not only on GameBoy.
And finally, you better grab VisualBoyAdvance as it supports both GameBoy and GameBoy Advance games.
