Default Help with emulators/finding old games

Hi all, new to this whole emulator thing and havnt a clue what I'm doing, not exactly technosavvy.

Can anyone tell me where to get a emultors and this list of games? Tried a few sites already but the emulator download set my browser homepage away from google and onto 123search or something like that. Also installed extensions and something called mypcbackup...didnt seem right so I unintsalled these programs.

    Would like to play:

    Final Fantasy 1-9

So if it needs different emulators it would need to be a playstation one and a snes one since they're not all on the same console right?

If anybody can link me to these and some emulator things that wont screw up my laptop it would be much appreciated.

Going to reset laptop, got all these adverts popping up and pages opening on their own. Google chrome icon has changed to a little magnifying glass

    Emulators yes http://www.emulator-zone.com/
    Games no http://forums.emulator-zone.com/rules.php
The main reason we can't help find games is that it's illegal and as you may know by now, downloading illegal software only increases the risk of damaging your system.

Sounds like you went to the wrong place and caught some malware.
