    Messenger Plus!(http://www.msgplus.net) contains an optional adware system to help pay for the software development. The program was detected as a "threat" correctly.

    But Messenger Plus! is not a Microsoft product so what does microsoft have to do with this???

    Btw, you can select not to install the adware by just checking a tiny option during installation. Most people however just hit the "Next" button

    It seems lately everything has an adware somewhere in the data, even anti-spyware programs can have there own spyware!!!
