Hey guys, I have a question for you that is not directly involved with PS2 emulators, but perhaps you may be able to shed some light on it.

I've been trying to rip some music from a PS2 disc to convert into an mp3 or wav file and then burn onto a cd. I know this is possible in some games. The sound files are in the '.pac' format which i've found out is some kind of compression format.

As you guys are up with emulation for PS2 onto the PC, do you know of any way to convert these files, or at least get them to play on the PC??

BTW, the game i'm tring to get them from is WWE Smackdown - Here Comes The Pain. There are some awesome tunes on there!!

    Thanks for your help

if you have a capture card you can rip it from there onto a .mpeg file and use "bink and smacker" to convert that into an audio-only file (availble from www.vcdhelp.com)
