Resident Evil, not sure if i'm stupid or real problem :/ advice/help please!?

Okay so I recently just got into the old school Resident Evil games, mainly the first one, don't judge, and I'm playing as Chris, again, don't judge, and i got my hands on the shotgun recently. And when i equipped it, something weird happened, it looked normal on the wall. But when i have it in my hands, its completely brown... Is that right? Or is that a problem with my emulator? Like literally the whole shotgun is brown, basically the color of the stock. It covers the stock and the barrel. Everything. I'm just wondering if i'm super dumb or if it is a graphical issue with my setup

There are 2 shotguns. 1 broken used to get the shotgun that is not broken.

I know that, I have the shotgun in my possession, was just saying the coloring was a bit off... :/ it doesnt look like it did on the mantle. Its all brown, ugly, and discolored.
