Game or Emulator set up problems

I recently got the ePSXe 1.9.0 emulator and when playing a game, and the game is about to continue the emulator closes its self. I might not have set the emulator up correctly. I have seen many youtube videos about how to set it up but nothing seems to be working, can I please get some help?

I have a Windows 7 computer but I dont know the specs off the top of my head

Main causes of this are:

1) bad rip, re dump the game and try again. If you stole the game from the internet then try to steel it elsewhere.
2) update all your drivers.
3) make sure your direct X is up to date
4) common crap like spyware or add-a-ware can be an issue, scan your computer.
