I have a problem with the controllers of the game Shadow the hedgehog

So recently I downloaded PCSX2 emulator to play a few ps2 games I had, they all ran perfectly fine only had one problem with running Shadow the hedgehog, the game runs fine no glitches no lags no anything but when I start the game the character doesn't move an inch when I press any direction and whats weird is he preforms the attacks and actions when I press the circle, square, triangle, cross, but when I press on the D-pads he just doesn't move :/ I thought maybe something was wrong with my controllers D-pads but they work fine with every other game except this one and I also tried playing it with keyboard still the same problem.

so did anyone encountered a similar problem or have any idea how to fix this..?

I'm almost certain Shadow the hedgehog uses the analog stick not the d pad ??? I could be wrong.

my controllers don't have analog but I configured the analog to keyboard and still not working..

yeah sometimes the set up is tricky and sometimes you need to press the analog button.
