Updated to windows 8.1 and Epsxe has failed me!!!

I recently updated to windows 8.1 and now my games are not working. I have not changed the configuration and have followed countless youtube videos to try rectify the issue to but no avail.

I have tried ff8 and breath of fire 3, the screen remains black but the sound and the controls are there. FF8 appears only once I reach the world map but is extremely buggy. All other games are hopeless. I'm not the best when it comes to this kind of thing so if somebody could give me some info that would be GREAT!!!

Before the I updated my windows everything was working smoothly, dang microsoft....

Step 1. Wipe your Hard Drive of all data.
Step 2. Install Windows 7 (64 bit)
Step 3. Enjoy.

I had this problem it is infact windows 8.1 new permissions. You need to make sure all emulators are set to run as administrator then they will work fine.

So, don't update to windows 8.1. Got it. I'm glad I neglected to do this for a while, and also, I was working on a lot of things. Does it force you to update in the future?
