Default Snes9x, Weird motion-based ripple effect.

I recently switched to Snes9x after realising how out of date zSnes is, but I'm having a little video glitchy thing happening. Sometimes when in motion there will be a 'ripple' effect on certain objects, reminds me of vertical sync screen tearing but it's not quite the same.

I don't have a recording of it myself, but an LPer I watch seems to have the same problem, so here.

Seems new users can't post URLs so if you google raocow's "Super Marina World 18" : about 1.30 in, look at the Bowser statues carefully. It's a bit harder to tell in youtube quality, but it's noticable.

Is there a way to fix this in settings?

Have you tried using the open gl mode?
Original, the only way to play.
