Okay guys (and girls?) i'm 100% sure that you heard of the M.U.G.E.N fighting engine,or simply called MUGEN.It's a freeware fighting engine to bring you commercial quality 2D games.
I've played some mugen games like:
Street figter vs. Mortal Kombat:
A crossover between your favorite Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat characters.The game features over 50 characters,over 400 combos and 16 stages.

You'll be amazed.This engine is marvellous.All fighters have 9 or 10 combos and 4 or 5 specials and 2 superspecials.

most knowed for me is dragonball mugen and MK mugen
in mugen you can edit everything
im will make new post or post it here i have latest version rc8 you never find it on web they have oldest rc7 also im have winmugen mugen for windows special verion oldest was for dos newest only for windows
im have few characters like vegeto janeba tapion and few naruto pack
arena packetc.. im not have special sounds pack custom life bars etc...
