project64 with dualshock 3 controller analog sticks

I'm trying to get my dualshock 3 sixaxis controller to work with P64. I want to use the right analog stick for the C buttons. I've set it up but the analog sticks don't respond. I've read that they don't work with Project64 is this true? If so what other buttons can I use for the C buttons?

What input plugin are you using? If you are using the default Jabo's Input plugin, I would definitely recommend using N'rage Direct Input. Once you are in its configuration menu, just go to the "devices" tab and choose it from the gamepad. Once you have that set, just configure the buttons, and it should work. If it doesn't, I would just use the direction pad for the C-buttons.
