Dragon Quest VIII freezing

Hey, I am getting a problem with the game randomly freezing (crashing/not responding) This happens anywhere, out in the world map during a battle or in a city. It will just freeze and I can click on the Pcsx2 program to try to reload then the program will freeze, not just the window, then I have to goto task manager and close it out and restart it. I can post settings when I get home, but I am running a i7-2600k @3.4, 8gig corsair vengeance , and a MSI Radeon R6770HD 1gig GPU.

hmmm you seem to have a stronger computer than me so it should work fine , try putting 8 bit textures on and check the native box in graphic plugins that what i use runs perfect im at the very last stage .the only issue i had is some of the cutscenes where you have a flash back you couldnt see at all but its fully playable promise.

PS:your going to love fast foward button on this game lol
