The main addition in this version is the RumblePak emulation. VGB will now make your device vibrate whenever a game uses its "rumble" feature. You will find new cheats for Dragon Warrior and Zelda series.

    Red face VGB-Android Release Announcements

VGB-Android 3.7.8 has been published this morning:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...id=com.fms.vgb

The main change is that the Real Time Clock (RTC), found in such games as Pokemon and Harvest Moon, will now "tick" while you are not playing the game, just like in a real cartridge. Please note that in order to achieve this effect, you will have to disable "Save State on Exit" option and use in-game saves instead.

    ALL CHANGES:
    * Real Time Clock now "ticks" while you are not playing (Pokemon, etc).
    * Added MOGA gamepad support to the File Selector and the Gallery.
    * MOGA buttons can now be assigned via "Assign Keys" in Settings.

    Talking VGB-Android Release Announcements

I have just released VGB-Android 3.7.10, with GameBoy Pocket Printer support:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...id=com.fms.vgb

Starting with this version, VGB will output pictures printed with GameBoy Pocket Printer to an .HTML file with the same name as your original ROM file. Smile VGB-Android Release Announcements

I have just published VGB-Android 3.7.12, a new version of my GameBoy Classic and GameBoy Color emulator for Android, which will also do Super GameBoy emulation:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...id=com.fms.vgb

The new version fixes timings on a few common Z80 instructions, which should hopefully stop random slowdowns during emulation. Also, if you are using a Bluetooth joystick or keyboard, the new VGB will automatically hide the on-screen controls. Touch the screen to make them reappear, or you can disable this feature completely in the Settings. Finally, I have introduced some assembler optimizations to the "Soften Video" mode, previously added to my other emulators.

    ALL CHANGES:
    * Fixed "JR offset" and "JR Z,offset" instruction timings.
    * Added option to hide virtual gamepad when using the real one (enabled by default).
    * Optimized "Soften Video" algorithm in assembler and gained +15fps.
    * Added Android menu and action items to the Gallery.

    Wink VGB-Android Release Announcements

    Hello, All!

I am starting this week with the VGB-Android 3.7.14 release, a new version of my GameBoy Classic, GameBoy Color, and Super GameBoy emulator for Android:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...id=com.fms.vgb

This release includes an important new feature that lets you find your game files, wherever they are. Simply select on the "Scan Files" option in the File Selector menu, or click on the magnifier icon in the action bar, and VGB will find your files automatically. I have also disabled a few features misunderstood by the users: VGB-Android will no longer verify cartridge CRC and will not compress .SAV files with GZIP, to make them compatible with other emulators. Finally, there is a new, nicer toolbar, and I have added four more Megaman games to the Cheatopedia.

    ALL CHANGES:
    * Save files (.SAV) are no longer gzipped, to avoid confusing the users.
    * Disabled cartridge CRC/CMP check, to avoid confusing the users.
    * Added File Selector "Search Files" function to search for relevant files.
    * Added a nicer, more professional toolbar.
    * Fixed location of custom.chts file on devices with no "/sdcard" folder.
    * Fixed possible crash source in Settings.
    * Added Megaman 4 and Megaman 5 to the Cheatopedia.
    * Added Megaman Xtreme and Megaman Xtreme 2 to the Cheatopedia.
    * Grouped multiple Cheatopedia entries for better navigation.
