    Wink VGBA-Android Release Announcements

    VGBA-Android 3.9.50 has been published on the Google Play:

    This new version adds MOGA gamepad support and fixes a few ActionReplay emulation bugs. Pokemon fans will be happy to know that I've added cheats for catching missing "new" Pokemon types in Fire Red and Leaf Green. With the new cheats in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, you can also catch any "new" Pokemon type at Route 101. Finally, there are seven more new games in the Cheatopedia.

    ALL CHANGES:
    * Fixed support for 16bit ROM patch ActionReplay code.
    * Now properly finding the internal storage directory, in case it is not "/sdcard".
    * Optimized ID-to-name conversion for faster File Selector.
    * Added cheats to catch any "new" Pokemon type at Route 101 in Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire.
    * Added cheats to catch missing "new" Pokemon types in Pokemon Fire Red and Pokemon Leaf Green.
    * Added Robopon 2 Cross and Ring versions to the Cheatopedia.
    * Added two Powerpuff Girls games to the Cheatopedia.
    * Added Megaman Battle Network 2 to the Cheatopedia.
    * Added Teen Titans 2 to the Cheatopedia.
    * Added Dexter's Lab to the Cheatopedia.

    The new version of VGBA-Android, my GameBoy Advance emulator, has been published to the Google Play:

    The VGBA-Android 3.9.51 adds the light sensor emulation, used in Boktai games, and the rumble feature that lets some games make your phone vibrate. I have also added the full-screen joystick mode and stopped screen from rotating when you are using the tilt joystick. Finally, the Cheatopedia has been expanded with five new games.

    ALL CHANGES:
    * Fixed sprite color blending (Boktai 2 and other games).
    * Added RumblePak emulation (Warioware Twist and Drill Dozer).
    * Added light sensor emulation (Boktai and Boktai 2).
    * Added progress dialog to the File Selector.
    * Added full-screen virtual joystick mode (see Settings).
    * Now locking screen orientation when tilt joystick being used.
    * Added Sonic Advance and Sonic Battle to the Cheatopedia.
    * Added Star Wars Trilogy and Wing Commander Prophecy to the Cheatopedia.
    * Added Final Fantasy I & II to the Cheatopedia.

    This week's VGBA-Android 3.9.54 release adds the tilt sensor emulation (Warioware Twisted) and full support for MOGA gamepad in the File Selector and Gallery. You can also reassign MOGA buttons now, using the "Assign Keys" option in the Settings. Download VGBA here:

    Talking VGBA-Android Release Announcements

    The new version of my GameBoy Advance emulator for Android, VGBA-Android 3.9.55, is here:

    In this version, I have implemented support for the X/Y tilt sensor, found in Yoshi Topsy Turvy, Yoshi Universal Gravitation, and Koro Koro Puzzle. You should now be able to play these games by tilting your phone or tablet. Also, fixed in-game saves in Medabots games and added a bunch of new entries to the Cheatopedia, as requested by users.

    ALL CHANGES:
    * Added X/Y tilt sensor emulation (Yoshi Topsy Turvy, Koro Koro Puzzle).
    * Fixed in-game saves in Medabots Rokusho and Metabee.
    * Added Rayman Advance and Pacman Collection to the Cheatopedia.
    * Added Shaman King: Soaring Hawk and Sprinting Wolf to the Cheatopedia.
    * Added Shining Force: Resurrection of Dark Dragon to the Cheatopedia.

    I have released the new version of my GameBoy Advance emulator for Android, VGBA-Android 3.9.56, here:

    The main changes this week are fixes to the BIOS emulation, full support for the standard gamepads in all parts of the app (not just in the games), and support for the iCade joystick accessory. There are a few other changes as well, listed below.

    ALL CHANGES:
    * Fixed in-game saves in Avatar.
    * Fixed ArcTan2() BIOS function (Mario and Luigi, etc).
    * Added standard gamepad support to File Selector, Gallery, and Settings.
    * Added optional iCade joystick support (see Settings).
    * Added "Show Real Names" menu option to the File Selector (on by default).
    * Optimized File Selector by not rescanning folder after running emulation.
    * Added Summon Night and Summon Night 2 to the Cheatopedia.
    * Added "debug room" cheat for Mother 3.

    Also fixed the crash that sometimes occurred when exiting from emulator to the File Selector and added four more games to the Cheatopedia, as requested by users.

    The new VGBA-Android 3.9.60, published today, fixes a problem with the Dragonball GT game, lets you sort files by date in the File Selector, and adds a bunch of games to the Cheatopedia, as requested by users.

    * Added sort-by-date mode to the File Selector.
    * Added Boktai and Boktai 2 to the Cheatopedia.

    Cool VGBA-Android Release Announcements

    I have published VGBA-Android 3.9.61, a new version of my GameBoy Advance emulator for Android, today:

    In this release, I have made extra optimizations to GBA memory access routines, done in assembler, for faster emulation. I have also rewritten parts of the "Soften Video" algorithm in ARM assembler and gained about 10fps when "Soften Video" is enabled. Will continue with assembler optimizations in the upcoming releases. Finally, there are new Spider-Man and Duke Nukem entries in Cheatopedia, as some users requested.

    ALL CHANGES:
    * Optimized GBA memory access routines (in assembler) for even more speed.
    * Optimized "Soften Video" algorithm in assembler and gained +10fps.
    * Added Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 to the Cheatopedia.
    * Added Duke Nukem Advance to the Cheatopedia.

    The new version fixes failing hardware check problem in Dragonball Z: Taiketsu, makes sure in-game saves work in Mario & Luigi, further optimizes video output, and adds another seven games to the Cheatopedia: the Harry Potter games and the Sims games.

    ALL CHANGES:
    * Fixed "unsupported hardware" problem in Dragonball Z: Taiketsu.
    * Fixed in-game saves in Mario & Luigi (but you will have to delete your current state).
    * Added another +5fps to the "Soften Video" algorithm.
    * Added Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup to the Cheatopedia.
    * Added Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets to the Cheatopedia.
