I have released another update to my Nintendo GameBoy Advance emulator, VGBA-Android 3.9.67, to the Google Play:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fms.vgba

The most important addition in this release is the "Search Files" function. Many users complained that they couldn't find their downloaded files using File Selector, whatever the reason was. Starting with this version, clicking on the SEARCH button or selecting "Search Files" from the menu will make File Selector automatically search for your files. File Selector also got a facelift with the much nicer, more attractive toolbar.

On the Cheatopedia front, I disabled the faulty "Have All TMs and HMs" cheat that so many Pokemon Emerald players complained about. Also added cheats for three more Megaman games and the Car Battler Joe.

ALL CHANGES:
* Added "Search Files" function to search for files when lost in File Selector.
* Pressing SEARCH key in File Selector now invokes file search.
* Added a new, better looking toolbar.
* Fixed location of custom.chts file on devices with no "/sdcard" folder.
* Disabled faulty "Have all TMs and HMs" cheat for Pokemon Emerald.
* Added Megaman Battle Network 5 Team Colonel to the Cheatopedia.
* Added Megaman Battle Network 6 Cybeast Falzar to the Cheatopedia.
* Added Megaman Battle Chip Challenge to the Cheatopedia.
* Added Car Battler Joe to the Cheatopedia.

Hello, All!

I have finally implemented the working network play feature in VGBA-Android 4.0, my Nintendo GameBoy Advance emulator released to Google Play a moment ago;

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fms.vgba

The NetPlay feature is still experimental, but proven to work in F-Zero and Pokemon games, at least. To use network play, select "Connect NetPlay" from the menu. Select "Disconnect NetPlay" when you are done. Both players have to be on the same WiFi network, or use global IP addresses. Remember to always save your game state before using NetPlay!

Hello, All!

This morning, I have released VGBA-Android 4.1.2, a new version of my GameBoy Advance emulator:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fms.vgba

The major new feature in this new version is the Record/Replay functionality. You can now record your gameplay and "go back in time" by clicking the Replay button. To start recording, select "Record" from the menu or click on the action bar button. You will see the recording indicator on your screen. When you want to go back, select "Replay" from the menu, or click on another action bar button: VGBA will show the playback indicator and start replaying your past moves.

As the menu started getting crowded, I merged Freeze/Restore functions into a single menu item called "States". Cheat-related items, including Cheatopedia, can now be found under "Cheats", and the network play is controlled with a single "NetPlay" toggle item. There have been other small fixes and changes as well.

ALL CHANGES:
* Added Record/Replay feature letting you go back in time.
* Merged Freeze and Restore into single States dialog.
* Added State Exchange access to the States dialog.
* Collapsed all cheat-related menu items into single Cheats submenu.
* Collapsed all advanced menu items into single Advanced submenu.
* Made NetPlay a single checkable menu item.
* Added a checkbox to Enable Cheats menu item.
* Added Breath of Fire to the Cheatopedia.

I have published VGBA-Android 4.1.12, a new version of my GameBoy Advance emulator, to the Google Play:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fms.vgba

Many people asked me to simplify the cheat entry interface that only allowed entering one code at a time. Starting with this release, you can enter multiple cheat codes into Cheat Editor. For example, you can copy some code sequence from the web, select "Add Cheat" in the Cheat Editor, and paste the whole sequence at once. I have also added Krazy Racers and a bunch of Crash Bandicoot games to the Cheatopedia.

ALL CHANGES:
* Added multiline cheat entry to the Cheat Editor.
* You can paste more than one cheat code at once now.
* Fixed localized strings in Cheat Editor.
* Fixed several bugs in the Record/Replay functionality.
* Added Konami Krazy Racers to the Cheatopedia.
* Added Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure to the Cheatopedia.
* Added Crash Bandicoot Purple: Ripto's Rampage to the Cheatopedia.

Hello, All!

I have released the next version of my GameBoy Advance emulator, VGBA-Android 4.1.14, to the Google Play:

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fms.vgba

Starting with this version, you can report non-working Cheatopedia cheats. Simply hold the cheat code entry with your finger, then select "Report Non-Working Cheat" from the context menu. Similarly, you can report faulty games from the File Selector. I have also added the complete file deletion option to the File Selector. Choosing this option from the context menu will delete the ROM and all files associated with that ROM (*.sav, *.sta, *.frz, *.png, *.mid).

Several people asked me to exit the emulator by double-clicking the BACK button, to avoid accidentally clicking that button during game play. The double-click is now the default behavior. If you want to go back to the single click, uncheck the "Press BACK Twice to Quit" in the Settings.

Finally, I hope that the latest license verification fix will make things easier for the users complaining about the license verification acting up when they have no network connection.

ALL CHANGES:
* Now exiting emulation when user presses BACK twice (not once as before).
* Uncheck "Press BACK Twice to Quit" setting to restore original behavior.
* Added "Completely Delete File" to the File Selector context menu.
* Added "Report Non-Working File" to the File Selector context menu.
* Added "Report Non-Working Cheat" to the Cheatopedia context menu.
* Added Dynasty Warriors Advance to the Cheatopedia.
* Fixed a license verification crash when no network available.

Have fun!

* Switched to automatic frame skipping by default, for smooth video.
* Existing users should manually set "Draw Frames" to "Automatic".
* Fixed initial parameter passing to the native code.
* Fixed automatic frame skip computation based on frame rate.
