Desmume save file help!

I've been playing Pokemon Black 2 on Desmume 0.9.8, but I want to play it on 0.9.7, because I just found out about using WiFi on it. But whenever I try to open my .dsv files from 0.9.8 on 0.9.7, it says "Error loading savestate, it failed halfway through" (or something like that). How can I fix this?

There might not be a way to fix it, it might purely be a change from 0.9.8 to 0.9.7, but surely you might have guessed that already.
