HELPPPPPP!!! downloaded JNes nes emulator Dont know what the heck i am doing.

I need help with this. I downloaded the JNes emulator. When I downloaded the emu, it went to the desktop. I opened it and well, I didn't see the games or any files related. After i download this and open it, what do I do. Please Help. Someone who is willing to give me a Step - by - step instuction on what to do to get my emu up and running. Go to 'File', then there will be an option called 'Set Directory' or something similar. Browse to your NES ROM's folder, and select that as the ROM directory. You may then need to go back to 'File' and select 'Refresh Directory'.
