NullDC Shenmue (PAL) memory card problem

Hello, everyone. I try to save my game at the bed and I get this "memory card not formatted" I don't know how to format the card. Can I save my game?

The version I a using - nullDC_104_r136
The bios is set to EUR.
Everything works fine I just cant save.

Doesn't it give you an option to format the memory card when you're in the game? I haven't used a Dreamcast so that's all I can think of.

I can save now this is what I did, I deleted the nulldc folder when I got the folder back I set the bios to eur and ran shenmue (PAL). THe game didn't ask for formatting memory cards or anything else.
