PCSX2 9.8 running slow?

Hi im new to all this emulation stuff but i wanted to play some old games like gran turismo 4 , fight night round 3 ect but they seem to run very slow people talk in slow motion and movements are slow too. my pc specs are;

FX-4100 quad core 3.6ghz
Radeon hd 6770 gpu
8GBs RAM
Windows 7 64 bit

Any help into how to make the games playable would be much appreciated thanks in advance.

First check the compatibility lists, not all game will even play at full speeds. Your system specs are good but could always be better. Either over clock that SOB. Shoot for > then 4GHZ with some cas7 memory or like and try to get the core video cock up as high as you can. most important WATCH YOUR TEMPS! If OCing is not in the cards for you better scrap it and buy a sandy bridge.
