Can't get NO$GBA to play any games

I'm kind of new to emulators and not so technically advanced than most people I read on threads so please forgive me for some ignorance.

I downloaded No$GBA and bios files that I was directed to and I can load the starting page (The one with the settings, alarm, games and pictochat etc.) however when I click on the game to play it I get an error message "The rom-image has crashed" and the emulator closes.

I've tried looking for solutions online but I've not found one that works for me yet.

Any help would be appreciated.

I say this alot, but try to see if DesmuME works better, because I have long given up NO$GBA and it tends to work alot better.

Yeah, no$ really can't compare to DesmuME, provided your computer can run it well enough.
