Running Roms in a webbrowser?

Hi guys

Is there anyway of running roms in a webbrowser? so for example i can setup a website and when that website loads you can play the game in the browser window. for example flash or java applet?

Yeah, if you write an emulator to do so. Most web languages will not give you direct access to hardware so its not going to be easy. I think I have seen a few java emulators. They may work on the web... Dont expect much performance from it. HTML5 would be the best bet but its so new I doubt anyone has tried yet. If you are thinking more along the lines of a port of an existing emulator, I have not seen that.

The most common browser emulator I believe is http://www.virtualnes.com/

cheers thats brilliant, i will take a look at virtual nes.

Ive just downloaded one called javaboy for the gameboy roms

all i need now is one for the sega

Vizzed is a website i use.It can play Nes,GB,GBC,GG,2600,WS,NGP,SMS without the plugin and the rest SNES,N64,NGPC,WSC,32X,Genesis,Famicon disk system,GBA,and Lynx with the plugin.It IS a awesome website and it even supports a controller.

Would be really great! great idea ... really .. play directly from the browser without installing any emulator
