no$gba help

i seem to have a problem with running my .nds roms on no$gba. so far the only game i've been able to play is pokemon white and that's because the person who uploaded the file gave a master action replay code for the game to work. other than that, i've tried several other games but they either freeze in a black screen or gray screen.
i've also noticed that when you download roms, there's a patched and non-patched version? is there a difference? can someone help me please? i really wanna play nds roms!!

You should probably try out DesmuME, its a lot more up to date.

Ya it does . I am not sure why no$gba is not as good... what ever the case for for me I have not had many issues with it at all.
